When a team is developed, it always takes time for the members to start trusting each other, communicating with each other and get satisfied with the team structure. Development of a team is divided into four stages. The first stage of team development is called forming. As the name indicates, forming involves getting together individuals with specific skill sets to work in a team. At this stage, the new team members are very excited to work for the project however, they do not clearly know their tasks to achieve the overall project objective. There is a feeling of nervousness in the members as they do not know each other well. The project manager is responsible to provide the team members with a direction to follow.
