Rolling Wave Planning Notes:
Planning the project is the most important step in the life cycle of a project. Planning shows how the project will proceed forward and what tasks must be performed to complete the overall project. While defining the activities, sometimes all the activities and tasks associated with the project are not determined and defined. Rather the process of defining the activities is performed in steps. The approach by which the project's work is defined iteratively is called rolling wave planning. As the name indicates, rolling wave planning plans the project in the form of waves. The activities at high-level are defined and the activities are further divided into detailed tasks as the project progresses. Rolling wave planning describes in the detail the activities that are to performed in near future and the tasks of distant future get clearer with time.
