When the project's schedule is to be developed, relationship between the project activities are established first. These relationships are logical and must be understood well. The relationships can be explained on the basis of predecessor and successor activity. A Predecessor activity is the one that logically comes before an activity in a schedule while successor activity is the one that comes after an activity.
