Dependent Clause Definition:
A dependent clause (also called a subordinate clause) is a clause that relies on the information from an independent clause to form a complete, logical thought. As such, it cannot stand on its own to form a sentence.

Dependent Clause Notes:
Dependent clause is a group of words which contains subject and a predicate but doesn't express a complete idea. It is not possible to convey thought or to express an idea on the basis of dependent clause , as it is dependent on independent clause for making its sense and it can't stand alone. Dependent clause contains subordinating conjunctions. For example, "When I picked a flower for you " "If my mom is nice " as these two are incomplete situation that's why they are knows as dependent clause. As it is not a complete sentence.
