Complex Sentence Definition:
Complex sentences are one of the four main sentence structures. They are made up of one independent clause (or main clause) and one or more dependent clauses (or subordinate clauses). dependent clause is introduced and linked to the independent clause by a subordinating conjunction.

Complex Sentence Notes:
Complex sentence are a combination of independent clause and dependent clause. We need to combine dependent clause with the independent one in order to make a meaningful sentence. As dependent clause is not a complete sentence it cannot stand alone to make sense. The dependent clause begins with subordinating conjunction like "although,since,look,unless while etc.". For example "when the cake is brown, take it out the over " as we can observe that "take it out the over" cannot stand alone because it is incomplete sentence and cannot convey any meaning independently. that's why we have added independent clause. Thus, this combination is known as complex sentence
