Non-polar part of a molecule that has no attraction for water molecules is called hydrophobic.

Hydrophobic Notes:
The literal meaning of hydrophobic is "the fear of water". Molecules that are hydrophobic are not attracted to water and they repel it. We can consider oil, which is an hydrophobic liquid. It separates from water whenever we try to combine them. Hydrophobic molecules are usually nonpolar which means that there is no static electric field produced by the atoms that make up the molecule. Such molecules aggregate in an aqueous solution and exclude water molecules.
