Esterification Notes:
Esterification is a chemical reaction. This reaction occurs between the acid (usually carboxylic acid) and the alcohol (or compounds containing the hydroxyl group). As a result of this reaction, esters are obtained that is why it is called esterification. We can classify it with condensation reactions because water is also obtained during this reaction. Esterification takes place in acidic environments and it is an important reaction of organic chemistry.
