Tissue Level Definitions:
In multicellular organisms, similar cells (performing similar functions) are organized into groups, called tissues.
Biology by Dr. William George and A.R. sheikh
Often, cells which specialize in the same activity are found together. A group of cells like this is called a tissue.

Tissue Level Notes:
Tissue level are defined as a group of similar cells being expert to utilize a common function. Each cell individually occupies its own life processes like cellular respiration, protein synthesis. On the other hand, it also carries on some prominent procedure connected to the function of tissue. It is observed that there are various kinds of plant tissues e.g. epidermal tissue, ground tissue, etc. Animal tissue also consist of different kind e.g. nervous tissue, muscular tissue etc.
