Coagulation Notes:
Coagulation is the process by which blood is changed from the liquid to gel form, resulting in the formation of a blood clot. The process is also termed as clotting. The mechanism involves the activation and adhesion of platelets, and eventually their aggregation to form the clot. Fibrin is also deposited into the clot. Coagulation results in hemostasis, the cessation of blood loss from a damaged blood vessel, followed by its repair.
