Actinobacteria are Gram-positive bacteria whose DNA has have high cytosine and guanine content. They can be aquatic or terrestrial. Although, they have single-celled like bacteria, they lack a distinct cell wall; however, they produce mycelium that is slender and non-septate. They represent one of the most diverse and largest phyla among bacteria.
