Aerobic respiration is process in which cellular energy is produced by using oxygen. Roughly 36 ATP molecules are made in mitochondria when cell break down food in a multistep process. First is glycolysis then in the process of citric acid cycle (TCA cycle) and then in the electron transport chain (ETC) these ATP molecules are made.
