Mitotic phase Notes:
The M phase or mitosis is a part of the cell cycle when replicated chromosomes are separated into two new nuclei. Cell division gives rise to genetically identical cells in which the number of chromosomes is maintained. Not only the genetic material divides but also the cytoplasm is divided equally amongst the cells which gives rise to daughter cells that are duplicate of their parent cells.
