Kinetochore Notes:

A kinetochore is a disc-shaped protein structure linked with replicated chromatids in eukaryotic cells. It is present on a specific part of the DNA on the centromere. This is the primary site where the spindle fibers attach during cell division to pull sister chromatids apart so each daughter cell can receive one copy of the sister chromatid.
