siRNA Definition:
Small interfering RNAs that help regulate gene expression just like miRNAs.

siRNA Notes:
siRNA, which stands for small interfering Ribonucleic Acid, is a class of double-stranded RNA molecules. It is sometimes called short interfering RNA or silencing RNA. Before diving into what exactly siRNA is, not to be confused with miRNA. siRNA, although very similar to miRNA are slightly different from the latter. The difference is that miRNAs derive from regions of RNA transcripts that fold back on themselves to form short hairpins, whereas siRNAs derive from longer regions of double-stranded RNA.
