RNA primer Notes:

The DNA replication cannot just begin on its own on the template strand. One of the important things that need to be present is an RNA primer. RNA primer serves as the basis on which DNA Polymerase begins its replication after it binds to the promoter. The synthesis of a primer is necessary because the enzymes that synthesize DNA, which are called DNA polymerases, can only attach new DNA nucleotides to an existing strand of nucleotides.
