Single Sampling Plan Notes:

Sampling plans can help to determine the way of collecting data. There are different types of sampling plans that can be used. One of them is single sampling plan. As the name indicates, single sampling plan requires drawing out a single sample from the population, perform inspection on it and determine if the whole lot or batch should be accepted or rejected. Sample taken through single sampling plan has a size ?n? and an acceptance number ?c?. If the number of defective items in the sample is c or less than c, the lot is accepted. If the number of defective items are greater than c, the batch or lot is rejected. Single sampling plan can be used for both variables and attributes. One or more quality characteristics can be inspected in the same sample.
