Agile approach is basically an iterative approach that performs the tasks in a number of iterations. Agile release planning is used in schedule management to divide the overall schedule into different iterations. It provides the summary of the release schedule (generally 3 to 6 months) after defined time period based on the road map of the project and its progress. Based on the project scope, the schedule of each time period is developed and discussed by the different stakeholders to decide the time that is to be taken to develop a complete schedule that will meet the project's objective. Agile release planning gives an understandable schedule that shows what deliverables will be provided to the customer after each iteration.
