Abo Blood Group System Definition:
It is the most important blood group system in humans. It was discovered by the Austrian scientist Karl Landsteiner, who found four different blood groups (blood type) in 1900.

Abo Blood Group System Notes:
ABO is considered as the most fundamental blood group system for human. An American scientist first discovered it, named as Karl Landsteiner, who concluded that there are four different kinds of blood groups. According to his blood groups classification method: A person found in antigen "A" is having blood group A, which a person possess antigen "B" having blood group B, a person accommodating with both antigen "A" and "B" having blood group "AB" and a person who does not have any antigen in their blood has blood group O.
