Adenovirus Notes:
Adenoviruses are the non-enveloped DNA viruses, which are responsible for causing respiratory illnesses such as conjunctivitis (pink eye infection), bronchitis, croup, common cold and pneumonia. Respiratory tract and intestinal tract are affected by adenoviruses in children. The means of transmission for this virus is human-to-human through the ocular and respiratory secretions.
