Protein phosphatase Notes:
A phosphatase is an enzyme that removes a phosphate group from a protein which changes its function by either leaving it inactive or by activating it. Hence these enzymes, work together with kinases to regulate the activities of the proteins in a cell, often in response to stimuli from external environment. An example of protein phosphatase is Threonine phosphatase.
