Cell cycle Definition:
Cell cycle is the life of a cell from the time it is first formed during division of a parent cell until its own division into two daughter cells.

Cell cycle Notes:
The cell cycle is a four-stage process. During this entire stage the cell grows and separates or divided which gives rise to daughter cells. The four stages of cell cycle includes the stages when the cell increases in size which is the G1 stage, copies its DNA which is the S stage, prepares to divide which is the G2 stage, and then finally divides which is the mitosis stage. The stages G1, S, and G2 make up interphase which is the longest stage followed by the rest of the stages.
