G protein Notes:
G proteins are also known as guanine nucleotide-binding proteins. They beolong to a family of proteins that act as molecular controls inside cells. These are membrane proteins and they usually have seven transmembrane regions. These proteins have imperative functions for example transmitting signals in response to stimuli from outside a cell and then transmitting it in to the inside to the cell so it responds accordingly.
