DNA polymerase Notes:
DNA polymerase is an enzyme that has the important function of synthesizing DNA molecules from deoxyribonucleotides which are the monomers or the building blocks of DNA. These enzymes are essential for DNA replication and usually work in pairs to create two identical DNA strands from a single original DNA molecule. DNA polymerase joins the monomers by linking of the 3' hydroxyl group of the end nucleotide to the 5' phosphate of nucleotide on the other end.
