Dihybrids are individuals heterozygous for the two characters being followed in the cross.

Dihybrids Notes:
This term is used to describe a hybrid that is heterozygous for alleles of two different genes. For example an offspring that is heterozygous for two genes that are being studied. A dihybrid cross is a cross between two individuals that are both heterozygous for two different traits. As an example, examining pea plants two different traits at the same time like color and height.
