Test performed on a fetus by takins a bit of the amniotic fluid from the mothers amniotic sac.

Amniocentesis Notes:
Sometimes the fetus can show signs of a disease or a disorder. To screen that, some of the fluid from the amniotic sac is taken and analyzed which gives useful insights as to the health of the baby. A needle is inserted in the mothers womb and the fluid is taken with the help of a syringe, taken to the lab and analyzed.
