Scope Control is the process of monitoring the status of the project and product scope and managing changes to the scope baseline.

Scope Control Notes:
A group of processes that fulfills the need of tracking the actual performance of the project and comparing it with the planned performance is called monitoring and controlling process group. Based on the comparison, the changes can be made in the project to reduce the variation in the performance. Several processes are involved in monitoring and controlling process group. One of the processes is called scope control. A project scope refers to all the work that is related to the project and must be completed in order to provide the agreed deliverables to customer. The scope must be monitored regularly to identify any deviations from the scope baseline. This is done through the process of scope control. This process must be performed throughout the project life cycle.
