Whenever projects are carried out, the main aim is to provide the required deliverables to the customer. Usually the project end at this phase, however, sometimes, the provided deliverables needs maintenance and repairs. This maintenance and repair is also the responsibility of the contractor and these services must be provided throughout the deliverable's life. The process of providing services to the customer's deliverables is called logistics support. Logistic support involves two parameter; readiness and supportability. An element of logistic support that shows the relationship between these two parameters is called design interface. Design interface basically establishes the relation between the design-related parameters and the actual parameters (i.e. readiness and supportability). Design interface relate the parameters to the readiness objective and the support requirements already established.
