An electron is made up of several particles called subatomic particles. Neutrons, protons and electrons, make up most of an atom. The particles present in the nucleus of an atom are called neutrons and protons. Neutrons have zero charge unlike protons that have positive charge and electrons that have negative charge. Neutrons are called neutrons because they are neutral particles.
