Metalloid Definition:
Elements which have a low electrical conductivity at room temperature but whose conductivity increases with increasing temperature is called metalloid.

Metalloid Notes:
An element in the periodic table that has properties that are intermediate between those of metals and non-metals is called a metalloid. It means that it has properties of both metals and non-metals. Metalloids can also be called semimetals. We can identify metalloids in the periodic table as the elements colored yellow which generally border the stair-step line. Silicon, Boron, Arsenic, Antimony are examples of metalloids.
