Heart rate is the number of times the heart beats per minute.

Heart Rate and Pulse Rate Notes:
Heart rate is defined as the speed of the heartbeat measured by enormous and repeated contraction of the heart per minute. It is calculated that the heart rate shows variation and depends on the one's body and physical requirement as well as the percentage of oxygen absorbtion and carbon dioxide secretion. Pulse rate is regarded as heart rate and the time consumed in heart beating i.e one minutte. It also differs person to person, pulse rate is low at rest state while it increases doing physical activities and exercises.
