Nutrient Cycle Definition:
One very important group in organisms which is easy to overlook when you are studying an ecosystem, is the decomposers.
Cambridge IGSCE Biology by Mary Jones, Geoff Jones
Nutrient Cycle Notes:
A nutrient cycle is involved in the activities and transmission of organic and inorganic material that in return re-utilize in the formation of matter. Similarly, decomposers are very important group of organisms, relying on waste products produced by animals and plants as well as their dead bodies. Secondly, carbon cycle also plays a n essential role in accommodating carbon, fats and proteins. The nitrogen cycle is responsible for providing nitrogen in the synthesis of proteins. Our air is consists of 78% nitrogen. Lightning also involved in making some of the nitrogen along with the combination of oxygen, forming nitrogen oxides. In industrial chemical process, nitrogen and hydrogen can react in the formation of ammonia. Moreover, the water cycle plays a crucial role in travelling up by xylem vessels, and evaporates as water vapor.
