It is believed that even mild water stress, resulting in decline in the growth rate in plants. Although transpiration is harmful process, involved in loss of water from plants, causing acute circumsatances, wilting and often death. On its flip side, transpiration is also important for pulling force known as transpirational pull, liable for conduction of salts water towards aerial parts of plants body. Moreover, in this process water transpires from surface of plants, leaving leaves cool and allow gaseous exchange.
