Endomembrane System and Proteins Notes:
The endomembrane system is defined as a collective group of membrane and oganelles that exist in eukarotic cells, working in a well-organised and congenial order in all aspects to modify, pakage as well as in transportation of proteins and lipids. It consists of lysosomes, vesicles, nuclear envelope, endoplasmic reticulum and golgi apparatus. Moreover, proteins are synthesized within the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER). The RER modifies protein, carbohydrate modifies integral membrane protein, vesicles fuses with Golgi apparatus, that is being passed by protein, having more carbohydrates in return synthesized.
