Plasma is primary water in which proteins, salts, metabolites and waste are dissolved.

Blood Plasma Notes:
Plasma is entitled as a water, helping in dissolving proteins, salts, wastes and metabolites. Water is comprised of 90-92% plasma, 8-10% dissolved substances, salts contains 0.9% plasma while bicarbonate salt occupied in reasonable amount. Some elementary proteins exist in plasma are known as antibodies, fibrinogen i.e. blood clotting protein and albumin. The gases which are also persists in plasma are respiratory gases i.e. CO2 and O2 respectively.
