A-DNA is a form of DNA, a biologically active double helical structure, which is assumed in solution by an RNA-DNA hybrid. It is one of the three forms of DNA, the other two being B-DNA and Z-DNA. It is a right handed, double helix, with a shorter more compact helical structure than the more common B-DNA.
