Basic solutions are aqueous solutions that have fewer H+ions and more OH- ions. These solutions have pH more than 7 on the pH scale. Some common basic solutions are detergent or soap dissolved in water or solutions of potassium hydroxide, sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide.
