Antagonism is the relationship in which bacteria compete with other microorganisms to survive better in the same environment. Some bacteria inhibit the growth of other bacteria or kill other bacteria for better survival. The microbial antagonism is important in our bodies through which the normal bacterial flora outcompetes the disease causing organisms.
