Mutagens Notes:
Any physical or chemical agents that have the ability to alter the DNA structure are known as mutagens. A common example of mutagen includes UV rays which are naturally present in the sunrays. It is said that prolonged exposure to the sunlight can cause skin cancer by altering the genetic makeup of the cells so the use of a sunscreen is clearly advised.
