Diploid Notes:

A diploid cell is any cell that contains two complete sets of chromosomes. Which means they have two copies of every chromosome. This is double the haploid chromosome number which is present in haploid cells which are germ cells only. Each pair of chromosomes in a diploid cell is considered to be one homologous chromosome set. All the somatic cells in our body are considered diploid cells.
