Reproductive Development and Structure Notes:

The reproductive development is taken place by sexual reproduction along with the slight difference in various groups of plants, that are having two distinct phases in their lifecycle: the gametophyte and second one is sporophytes. In gametophyte, the haploid gametophyte produces both male and female gametes through the process of mitosis, while, in soporophyte, fusion occurs within male and female to create diploid zygote. So by the procedure of meiosis, soporophyte produces spores and divided by mitosis. So, the process keeps on going in the plants.
