Chromogen Notes:
In chemistry, Chromogen is defined as a colorless (or weakly colored) chemical compound, which can be converted to a "colored" compound, by a chemical reaction. While in biochemistry, Chromogen is termed as either a precursor of a biochemical pigment, or any organelle, organ or microorganism that is strongly pigmented or produces a pigment.
