Bacteroid Notes:
Bacteroid is a nitrogen-fixing bacterium, which is irregularly shaped. These bacteria are present in root nodules of the legumes. Their genus is bacteroides, which contain obligate anaerobic, gram-negative bacteria. Depending on the species, these bacteria are either motile or non-motile.
