Atomic Weight Notes:
Atomic weight, additionally called relative atomic mass, proportion of the normal mass of a compound element's atoms to some standard. Since 1961, the standard unit of atomic mass has been one-twelfth the mass of an atom of the isotope carbon-12. An isotope is one species of atoms of a similar substance component that have distinctive nuclear mass numbers (protons + neutrons).
