ATP or Adenosine triphosphate is an organic chemical, which stores energy and delivers it in all cellular systems. In many cellular processes, ATP is providing energy, such as chemical synthesis, muscle contraction and propagation of nerve impulse. ATP is found in all life forms, and is known as the "molecular unit of currency" of the intracellular transfer of energy.
