Orbital Definition:
Three-dimensional space where an electron is found 90% of the time is called an orbital.
Campbell Biology by J.B. Reece, L.A. Urry, M.L. Cain, S.A. Wasserman, P.V. Minorsky, R.B. Jackson
Orbital Notes:
Orbital is a technical way of describing a path of an object. So an atoms orbital is the path where the electron is likely to be found most of the time. Basically its an imaginary path of the electrons of an atom. For example the path of a planted around a star is that planets orbit. Each orbital in an atom is characterized by a unique set of values of the three quantum numbers n, l, and m, which respectively correspond to the electron's energy, angular momentum, and an angular momentum vector component.
