Hypotonic Notes:

Any body that has higher osmotic pressure as the other body. There will be net movement of water molecules from area of higher concentration to that of the lower. In other words hypotonic refers to a solution with lower osmotic pressure than another solution therefore there is a greater concentration or number of solute particles inside a membrane than there are inside it therefore there will a movement of water molecules from outside to the inside.
