Electroporation Notes:

Electroporation, or electro permeabilization, is a microbiology technique in which an electrical field is applied to cells in order to increase the permeability of the cell membrane, allowing chemicals, drugs, or DNA to be introduced into the cell. Short electrical surges are given to the cell and it forms small pores in the surface of the cell. This allows for materials to enter the cell.
