Cytoskeleton Notes:
A cytoskeleton is an important support structure present in the cytoplasm of all cells. It can be found even in prokaryotes including bacteria and archaea. A cytoskeleton is an intricate and dynamic network of several protein filaments that interlink and form a meshwork. This structure extends from the cell nucleus all the way to the cell membrane. Important cytoskeleton proteins include microfilaments, intermediate filaments etc.
