Predicate Definition:
Predicate is, essentially, everything in the sentences that follows the subject. It is made up of at least one finite verb, the action of which is performed by the subject.

Predicate Notes:
Predicate, as subject tell us who and what the sentence is about. Predicate tell us what the subject is or does. We can say that predicate is a part of a sentence which indicate verb and stating something about subject. Or in simple words predicate is a part of a sentence that contains an action. For example "He looks stunning" Here stunning is a predicate as it tells us something about a subject. "She is washing her clothes". here we came to know that a what Subject is doing. So the part of a sentence which contains an action is a predicate.
