Basidiocarp, also known as basidioma or basidiome, is the basidiomycete's fruiting body that consists of basidia. It is the basidiomycete's sporocarp. Basidiomycete is the multicellular structure that has a spore-producing hymenium. Hymenomycetes have a characteristic structure i.e. basdiocarps, which are not produced by rusts and smuts.
